Abstract
The HTML5 Specification is being developed as the next major revision of HTML.
In addition to some markup modifications and additions, the specification introduces exciting graphics capabilities through the "canvas" element and JavaScript and it exposes a "Web Sockets" API for real time two-way communication between client and server. The JavaServer Faces 2.0 specification offers a flexible, light weight model for creating sophisticated components for the web. In this comprehensive session, we will explore how we can develop dynamic JSF 2.0 components using the scriptable graphics and Web Sockets features of HTML5. Attendees of this session can expect the folowing:
* Overview of HTML5
* Overview of JSF 2.0 Component Model
* Working examples (and code deep dive) of JSF 2.0 HTML5 components using the
graphics and communication features of HTML 5
