Don’t just attend – join in!
Jazoon'07 offers plenty of opportunities for exchanging know-how with other members of the Java community: e.g. tutorials, technical sessions, birds-of-a-feather sessions (BOF), work-in-progress sessions, software demonstrations.
Tutorials
Jazoon'07 kicks off on Sunday, 24 June 2007 with "hands-on workshops", in which experienced experts share concrete, practical knowledge with the workshop participants. Duration: 180 minutes.
Technical sessions
Peer reviewed by Jazoon Program committee: The latest trends and developments are examined in these short presentations. Duration: 30 minutes presentation followed by 10 minutes Q&A.
Birds-of-a-feather sessions (BOF)
Java lives – and is a live topic. And predestined for an open discussion round. BOF sessions are an ideal form for an open but structured dialogue and exchange of experiences. At the conference, every participant will still have the opportunity to suggest topics that should be addressed. Duration: 90 minutes.
Work-in-progress sessions
Peer reviewed by Jazoon Program committee: It is not always the final solution to a problem that teaches us the most. For papers that were not yet ready by the call-for-papers deadline, Jazoon provides an opportunity for them to be presented to the Java community nevertheless. Duration: 30 minutes presentation followed by 10 minutes Q&A.
Software demonstrations
Participants receive an introduction to the latest software solutions and releases (OS, middleware, platforms, developer tools, applications). Duration: 50 minutes.
As a Jazoon speaker for a technical session or work-in-progress session, you enjoy the following benefits:
- Participation in the entire Jazoon'07 program is free of charge
- Excellent reputation in the European Java and open source community
