Short bio

Kirk Pepperdine working in high performance and distributed computing for close 
to 20 years. His focus on performance started in earnest when he started 
developing, and tuning applications running on Cray and other specialized 
computing platforms. In recent years his focus has shifted to Java where he has 
worked in all aspects of performance in each phase of project life cycle.

Kirk has subjected hundreds of Java developers in North America, Europe, and 
Asia to his unique and specialized performance tuning training program. He has 
also written many articles on the subject as well as spoken at several 
conferences. In 2006 Kirk was inducted into the Java Champions program in 
recognition for his contributions to the Java community.
