Short bio
Iulia Ion is a research assistant at ETH Zurich, in the Institute for Pervasive Computing. Previously, she graduated from International University in Germany with a Masters degree in Computer Science in 2007 and spent one year in the Security Research Area at Create-Net, Trento, Italy. Besides the OpenUAT project, Iulia has been actively involved in a number of open source Java and mobile phone projects, such as xJ2ME, an extended security manager for Java Mobile Edition which supports fine-grained security policies. Iulia is currently involved in teaching and supervising several Java and mobile phone programming projects at ETH. Previous internships include University of Cambridge, UK, Deutsche Boerse, Frankfurt, Germany, Universite de Provence, Marseille, France, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.
