Technical sessions
There are two groups of technical sessions:
Long talk of 50 minutes (incl. Q&A)
Short talk of 20 minutes (incl. Q&A)
Both are peer-reviewed by the Jazoon Program Committee. The latest trends and developments are examined in these presentations.
Jazoon Rookie - Europe's first Young Developer Speaker's Competition
All Java developers aged 26 or younger from all over the world are invited to participate in this first ever competition. They are requested to submit their abstract into the submission form, which will be reviewed by the Jazoon'09 Program Committee.
The top 10 developers are invited to send the first 10 minutes of their presentation filmed by themselves to the Program Committee.
The PC will evaluate the top 3 young developers and they will be invited to Jazoon'09.
On June 25th, the final will be held giving the 3 finalists the opportunity to present their 20 minute talk to the audience and jury. The jury will judge each talk and the winner will receive a trophy.

Birds-of-a-feather sessions (BOF)
Java lives – and is a live topic. And predestined for an open discussion round. BOF sessions are an ideal form for an open but structured dialogue and exchange of experiences. At the conference, every participant will still have the opportunity to suggest topics that should be addressed.
Duration: 90 minutes.
