Bastian Hofmann
OpenSocial done right - Integrating OpenSocial for 16 million users
Bastian has been active in web development for five years, where he gained considerable knowledge in PHP, J2EE and JavaScript. At the moment he is working on the OpenSocial Container integration into the three social network platforms of VZnet Netzwerke, Germany's largest social network with over 16 milion active users. Prior to this he has been part of the framework and platform development team and extensively refactored the controller layer of the framework.

Iulia Ion
End-to-End Security: Accounting for the User Factor - A Real Case of Application Development
Iulia Ion is a PhD student and research assistant at ETH Zurich, in the Institute for Pervasive Computing. Previously, she received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from International University in Germany, and worked in the CREATE-NET research institute, in Trento, Italy. She carried out numerous internships and project collaborations with industry (SAP Walldorf, Nokia Research, Lausanne, Deutsche Boerse Systems, Frankfurt) and academia (University of Cambridge, UK, Carnegie Mellon, Pitsburgh, PA, Université de Provence, Marseille, France). She is currently working on reconciliating usability and security, with a special focus on mobile interactions. Previous work includes extending the Java ME architecture to support and enforce fine-grained security policies.

Benjamin Muskalla works as a software developer and consultant at EclipseSource in Karlsruhe, Germany. He is one of the core team of committers on the Rich Ajax Platform (RAP) project and contributes to several other Eclipse projects including e4, Platform UI and JDT. His interests include squash, billiards and generally working on open source software.
